Finally got around to painting these three. The remaining six still needs weapons before painting, but I think I'll either try and finish off the waterfall or start something different... likely something different.

The point of droplet bottles is so you don't paint from the bottle resulting in the pot of paint drying up. This was a major issue I had with the old Games Workshop paints as I never got past half a pot before it's all dried up. However the heat from my overhead light I built into my work area meant that even a drop of paint gets dry and pasty before I get near to using it all. Especially at this scale, a drop of black can go a long way. This meant I was moving between the three models just to use all the paint, but meant the last bit of paint I was using wasn't as fluid as needed. So I went back to painting one model at a time and painting from the tip of the droplet bottle.
While looking for some material to add features to my mountain, I found an old stash of stuff including an age old bottle of Water Effect. I think I had this stash since even before I got married (over ten years). There is a small bottle of Water Effect that came with the starter kit, hence finding this bottle means I can try things out without worrying about running out. Although they now have a Hobby Craft store ten minutes away from where I live. I'm sure I had a bottle of Realistic Water too, but pretty sure I threw that out as it would not set. Hopefully this bottle of Water Effect is still usable, but takes 24 hrs for it to dry clear before I know.
