| Despite not quitting yet, as there are still 9 more days till the end of the season, I managed to stop playing to finish off these two models. I added minor detail to the existing arm and even added some front detail to hide my rough cuts. With a chest plate and crotch guard, all that was left was to use some resin to reinforce the flimsy swords... oh and paint them too. Adding to the pile, one very small skull with the remaining green stuff. |

you can just barely see the pointing finger. I had greenstuff left and rather than messing up the hand, I decided to work on the second one! The second was much harder, but after over two hours, I wonder if this the second step in breaking my gaming addiction? Or is this just temporary fix?
I came across this image of Citadel Skulls and reminded myself of the Skull Challenge. There were some inspiring skulls on the cover, so I decided to try some. The Milliput came out and it felt a bit hard, but I continued, determined to make some more skulls. Despite the attempt to air-tight them, I don't think it worked well. It have been almost one year since using this Milliput to make skulls! After kneading small lumps from the two parts together for five minutes and getting a lot on my fingers, I spent the next five minutes picking out hard bits that did not want to break apart. With half the original amount I mixed (maybe even less), I managed to make ten skulls. However I don't think I'll be making any more with horns. I just hope they harden.
I've been taking my youngest son swimming and my eyes are full of chlorine making them tired and hard to focus, forcing me to take my glasses off. Although it made things easier, especially while trying to add a nose and ears to my original concept, however once i needed to find something not in front of my nose, I couldnt see. Mixing greenstuff with plastic wasn't easy and I was drilling a hole into a 1.6mm rod with a 0.5 drill bit so I could stuff greenstuff inside to get a more secure hold for my horns. This task was made harder as my Drill bit holder couldn't hold something this thin, so I had to hold the 0.5 drill bit between my fingers. The three balls are intended for the rear of the backpack, one just a ball while two others I tried something different. In hindsight, I should have just waited for it to dry and cut it in half before glueing it onto the round thin plastic. The remaing green stuff was made into a skull, although potentially too small to mount on the of my three Ghaz and looked more like an alien rather than some animal skull.
make clean joins and went straight to green-stuff. Although the green-stuff was getting more dry and it was less soft once mixed, it meant using the remainder to make skulls was quite difficult.
