Doesn't taste like a chicken... I hope. So I started work on the shield and was locked on a 3.2 mm circle as it was the best size rod I had. I cut the shield components without any thought of measurement and eventually slowly whittled it down in size. In the end I didn't try and add the gap between the middle and outer section as that would probably be OTT, so hopefully I'll paint it in instead. With one lower arm ready to mount with the shield, it won't lool like a chicken.

a good thing. I realised that there was a split at the back of the head and although not visible in the photo, went and replicated it. After adding the attena, it was barely visible :( I made the shoulder pads on the end of the stick as I did in previous models as it made shaping and sanding the sides easier. I did the same with the head, rather than cut it into the correct shape, I left it on a longer piece of plastic to work with. It made the job half easier, as after cutting it to length to work on the other side, it was back to holding it beteen my fingers.
attempts to get a matching pait. Despite the small size, I could still see there was a difference that annoyed me enough to try again. The problem with working on one model is once I glue items to the main body, I'd had to wait for it to fully dry, otherwise I'd just knock it out of place.
to insert a small circle into it. However it seemed too small so I just added the circle on top instead. Although the photo didn't come out well, the top chest is curved back slightly and there are also minor curves at the waist too!
Each time I finish a project, I usually clear up again, just to wipe away all the remaining dust, paint, plastic shavings or what-ever that seems to gather on the surface of my work-area. So what next... a bit undecided.
So the Evil Sunz clan added to Da Old Gitz page and I decided not to tweak the photo's colours. It shows how different the cameras I've been using over the past five years. Or it could just be the colour fading on the base I used for all three. It's so tempting to retake all the photos with the same camera so the colours are consistent through this web site. Unfortunately that's not time I was willing to spend... not that the time I waste on my games is any better use. I have one more clan, the Deathskulls to re-base as I never painted a Snakebites or Blood Axes clan. I just hope it won't take me another five years before I do them... although I've been thinking about re-basing my Chaos army :(
Although less stands than the Goffs or the Bad Moon, this task isn't any easier. However I think last time where I went wrong was that I scraped all the stands in one go before painting them. This time I split the job into three. This way while waiting for the multiple layers of paint to dry, I could scrape the paint off the next batch. So four stands now re-based with brand new black boots (no evidence of green paint) to walk through the dusty desert! I've managed so far not to touch up any of the main models. There is currently only two casulaties and one MIA.
