One final post just in time before the count down to the New Year of 2016. My Tyranids on Parade needed to go into storage, hence spent the last couple of days creating my own Storage Solution. As I took photos as I made this, I decided to post this into a new Misc Section (now moved to Conversions) of my web site. Enjoy and Happy New Year. |

As the competition is now over, I have some time before Christmas to get one last site update. I'm now happy with the new photos to replace the old poorer quality that I had from my old web site.
Finished painting the last Mega-truck the day before the competition and so had to snap some shots of the finished formation and my Thunderhawk Gunship. An entry into the Formation and War-engine Category. As I had the camera out, I took the opportunity to re-take some photos of the previous Thunderhawk gunship and Stormraven to replace the old poor quality ones, hence hopefully posting a Site Update. I won't be putting my Ork trucks up yet as I take photos of them on a more appropriate scenic base. Want to vote for me? Visit the Tactical Command Forum.
I use Citadel Paints as I can purchase them locally and there isn't any alternative and have been painting from the bottle for years. After half way through my ever thickening black in the latest bottle type, I decided I needed a solution. The forums greatest advice is not to use Citadel Paints, but due to the reason stated I thought the next best advice was use 5ml Dropper Bottles. I was always put off using these as it required a bit of planning on how much to dispense and what's left was wasted. However it would be less waste than a fast drying 12ml Citadel bottle of paint. Surprisingly even with a broken top of an old Citadel bottle of Striking Scorpion Green, the paint was still runny enough to pour into the new bottle. However my black was a much harder job and I was cautious how much water I added. With a lot of mess, I got most what was left into the new bottle. Only time will tell if these bottle (cheap off e-bay 5 for 99p +P&P) keep the paint better.
