I went ahead with the design for the platform that slots on the top of the bunker with a small vriation. However here lies the problem. Replicating it for the overhanging platforms... there is a raised strip on the edges that means I can't lay a ruler or template flat to score the lines :(

The problem with using a scribe is that it can be potentially unreversable and that scares me from progressing. Especially with all the effort put into making the Tower. So I'm beng very cautious before I commit to a design. I drew out the lines a couple of times and even rubbed a few. Sometimes less is more. The pencil lines didn't come out in the photo, hence I added the red lines and in doing so made it stand out and that help me make my decision. As my paint scheme was blue, I just did a colour change and thought I'd post both photos. Now I just have to make a decision on a Tau style door that doesnt have any curves and design the front and rear of the tower :(
So the second one didn't match the first as I was learning how to use the Scribe. It's a crude tool that does its job and doesn't actually take much effort. However it is just learning how to use it and what it is capable of. The mechanical pencil I had since a child takes 0.5mm lead and the Scribe's blade I was using is ~0.3mm. So depending how the line is drawn and then where you run the Scribe (above, below or on the line drawn) that can be potentially almost 1mm difference. Unfortunately the third attempt matched the second one, but the strip of plastic I used must have been before I had an angle ruler. As one end was a good 1mm+ wider than the other. Luckily after the third variant, the fourth, fifth and sixth matched the first three. As these were planned to be placed on either side of the tower, you wouldn't be able to see both side at once to compare... but I couldn't overcome my own knowledge that they would be different. Hence the need to make matching pairs.
Considering it was the first time I used the scribe, it turned out quite successful! Although it was not a tool I could use free-hand even though I'm usually good at drawing straight lines. Even the 1mm length lines needed a ruler. I had a mini ruler that seemed to have gone missing, so I had to use a 30cm ruler to guide the scribe along each line. I could probably just as easily painted the lines, but wouldn't have much consitency and wouldn't be able to do any wash/highlights as easily.
I'm not sure if I have any more details I can add and clutter this coridoor section that is the entrance to the Power Generator room.. if I don't decide to change the layout before I have an idea how to make it. There is still one more corridoor section before this, but it's gonna be quite plain after all the detail gone into this part. Hopefully I can get that finished off as I'd like to get back to trying to make more Tau like structures with the new Scribe.
So with the mounting pile of spare parts (fire extinguishers and security ball cameras), and additional tools, it was time to get a bit organised. Unfortunately I was out of the plastic containers, so I had to re-organise some of my existing stacks that had gotten into a bit of a mess. Also my new container now is the home for my spare blades and drill bits... bonus!
I'm not sure if the template had these patterns intentionally together, but it worked out for me. Wanting something grill-like and additionally something to inject some colour helped. I was tempted for contrasting red, but that stood out too much hence the less subtle yellow. Howevet without a scribe, I was using the template for painting and despite the smallest paint on the brush and gentlest touch, paint was still seeping beneath the metal template and requiring touch up after.
When you ready to call it a night, all games finished and closed off, it's probably the best time to do something like this without having any distraction. So despite feeling sleepy, I went on to paint and finish these off. The bottom left is actual triming the back panels rather than creating the bases. I like how the white base stands out, hence left these unpainted.
