ABOUT MEI started this hobby when I was about thirteen and my skill was all about slapping paint onto little plastic epic space marines. My skill grew as I got older, but still lacked the patience and space hence I prefer the 6mm figures rather than the 30mm figures.
From the beginning I had a dream to build a large landscape full of every army and numerous features. This was even before I visited Warhammer World in the late 1980’s when they had marvellous displays of table top carnage that still dwarfs any Apocalypse game. Although now married and with two kids, I own a bigger house and slowly driving forward with my dream. With completion of my Skull Mountain for my Tyranids to infest, I only need to expand outwards. Although time shared between work, family and my addiction of games, it's still slow progress. |
A Little about this Site
I created several personal websites prior to this one for various interests, however one main one was around Warhammer Epic 40K by a company called Games Workshop. The company abandoned Epic 6mm figures in favour of their 30mm range. Hence the figures I currently have are all end of line.
I still continue to paint these figures as I have quite a large stock pile, but I also enjoy creating my own conversions using existing pieces, or even sometimes build stuff from scratch. However due to family and addiction to IOS apps, I spend less time than I did in the first few years.
This website is around the eighth incarnation. I previously coded html, css and even some scripting using note pad. I previously entered a deal on-line that gave me my own URL and web host for eight years, however as that expired, I decided to continue with a free host and move away from coding in note pad.
It was only the second free service I tried before I settled here. Despite not having my own URL, it provided the basics I needed. Previously I always added a site update to the side bar, rather than replicate this update list, I instead used the Blog feature.
So this began a new website and rather than loose some of my previous work, I started adding a Misc section for my other creations rather than create and maintain another website. However the main content of this website is to showcase my painting and creations of Warhammer Epic 40K.
