The Striking Scorpions have been painted almost as long as the Firedragons, just the shrine was recent. Finally I got around to taking photos (twice) to finish up the page in the Eldar section under Armies. Also the shrine has its own photos in the Eldar Structures in the Terrain section.

So the last four stands of Striking Scorpions now flocked with the Astro Turf, the first scenary material I ever purchased and still barely used! Now that summer is gone and the cold weather has settled in, I can take more photos without sweating. Who needs heating when you have the heat of two table lamps!?
Not sure if it was worth the wait, but finally got myself some Gloss to cover the crystals that looked too matt. Although it makes a lot of difference from looking at it, the photos just doesnt make much difference. I may just need to get a new camera... or phone...
The Firedragon Falcon Grav tank is probably the model that I've broken the most repeated times. While bring out the shrine with the tank on the side, I managed to drop it again, breaking three of the horns. Luckily I only just managed to find the last piece. At least its cheap to repair unlike my wife's A5 that she dropped and broke the screen. Now she's got a new Samsung Galaxy A13 phone that takes lovely pictures. I've yet to use it to take my own pictures. I took the Firedragon Shrine out to see how I painted the crystal columns. Unfortunately my camera isn't capturing the colour very well.
to SimCity Buildit... ok so the last repeated item is the main reason. The scenary piece is carelessly splashed with a base coat of paint and a quick black wash as I'll hopefully it will be covered with grass and other foilage that I purchased eons ago.
Using Milliput is a mess from the start, mixing the material is like playing with mud; it leaves a coat all over the fingers and any surface it touches. I glued the plastic columns to the base before trying to wrap the Milliput around it, but like green-stuff, it doesn't stick well and I had it coming off the column, or breaking away from it. However once dried, the top-left pieces holds firmly in place to the base. Luckily as this is so cheap, the remaining mixture (bottom left) was just thrown away... well I forgot to do anything with it until the following morning when it was all solid.
This has been the best use for those scrap circular pieces I had left over. As they were the same thickness, I was able to use them to stack up and make support columns for the top platform. Saved me a lot of time hunting through my scrap pile for same thickness. I'll probably wall up the shrine so the underside isn't visible as there isn't enough height to display any models under it. The fireball tail effect wasn't intentional, although I'm now tempted to keep it, but likely the shrine feature will obsecure it.
Although against my "trying to save space" motto with scenary pieces, I decided to try this concept. Hence the attempt to re-use the circular scraps. My first mistake was trying to use the larger circle for the steps rather than the cut-out smaller circle as the basis. After that light bulb moment, the stairs came together nicely. Hopefully I'll have continual success with the rest of this shrine.
Although a mixture of some new and mainly old models, my Eldar under the Armies section is finally updated. There is only two pages of photos considering I had taken in total of 227 pictures. A few taken from the Cannon IXUS 7.5, majority from my Samsung A40 that not got used and the remainder on my wife's Samsung A4. Unfortunately I have very little photography and editing skills to keep the photos consistant, especially in comparison with some of the other armies.
