Other than this blog, the rest of this site is falling behind with a mounting pile of updates I want to do. The WIP Parade will have lots to update as well as photos I still yet to take to showcase my Tau Battlesuits. So instead of working on any of these, I've cheated and just re-posted a photo I always wanted to bring out amongst the rest in Models on Parade. Hopefully it will give me some inspiration to do more, before I start on a new project or try and finish off my current one!

Unsure which project or amy to work on next, I decided to take a look at some of the old photos and came across these taken back in 2017! I didn't use these due the camera shifting tones between shots despite the same lighting conditions. Some pictures were brighter, while others were darker. So I always planned to retake these even though it's been six years since then. I ended up deciding to tweak the H/S/L and was satisfied enough to post these, just so I could have more site content.
The final image added to the Concept to Completion page. Just a minor addition to the site updates, but at least something. Hopefully once I get a few more scenary pieces and some backdrop, I can start taking more photos and populate the Tau Army section of this site. Here is a nice shot to showcase the drone like feature beneath the tower platforms. The Tau symbol on the front tilted as it's held on by a single 1mm magnet... think I got to glue this instead like the other two.
So the Evil Sunz clan added to Da Old Gitz page and I decided not to tweak the photo's colours. It shows how different the cameras I've been using over the past five years. Or it could just be the colour fading on the base I used for all three. It's so tempting to retake all the photos with the same camera so the colours are consistent through this web site. Unfortunately that's not time I was willing to spend... not that the time I waste on my games is any better use. I have one more clan, the Deathskulls to re-base as I never painted a Snakebites or Blood Axes clan. I just hope it won't take me another five years before I do them... although I've been thinking about re-basing my Chaos army :(
The Noisey Orks were painted eons ago, but I ended up re-basing it a while back with a desert theme to match it with the other Orks. I finally decided to take new photos so the background matched too as they were originally taken against a forest. I used my Samsung A40 phone as the camera had recently been replaced and the photos turned out much better than before. Although I've still not mastered the settings. The photos turned out quite bright and white, which was ideal but stood out drastically different to the previous that was a wash of yellow. Hence they got tweaked in Paint Shop Pro version 5! Hopefully if I ever get around to taking photos of my Bikers (the original intention), I'll get the setting correct, otherwise I need to try and replicate this again and it took far longer than I wanted.
The Striking Scorpions have been painted almost as long as the Firedragons, just the shrine was recent. Finally I got around to taking photos (twice) to finish up the page in the Eldar section under Armies. Also the shrine has its own photos in the Eldar Structures in the Terrain section.
Concepts to Completion page 4 now posted that brings everything up-to-date. Although I didn't post a picture of the completed Tau Tower as I wanted to include the taller version. However the recent XV80's Battlesuits are there with a decent completion photo to closely match the original concept I based the models on. I ended up taking a set of Eldar Striking Scorpions photos, but realised some of the bases were not flocked :( and a full set of new Eldar Firedragons, which I didn't look much better than the ones I already edited/posted. A bit of a waste of time sweating away taking photos in summer and the heat from two lamps!
I had a few photos of the Eldar Wrathgate and Fire Dragon Shrine and decided to add this into a new page in the Terrain section (although not many photos). As per the theme, I thought I take more photos for the Waterfall, only to find after the passage of time, the top river section's bubbled up. Much to my annoyance, the photo taken above on my Samsung A40 looks great when I only need focus in the centre of the picture.
Although a mixture of some new and mainly old models, my Eldar under the Armies section is finally updated. There is only two pages of photos considering I had taken in total of 227 pictures. A few taken from the Cannon IXUS 7.5, majority from my Samsung A40 that not got used and the remainder on my wife's Samsung A4. Unfortunately I have very little photography and editing skills to keep the photos consistant, especially in comparison with some of the other armies.
I missed the Stompa Head and now added into page 2 of Concepts to Completion. I also been working on page 3 and forfeited 2hrs of gaming session to do the last three entries. The page navigation is a manually created and will become more difficult as its not a feature that I am aware this web service provides. Possibly difficult mixing Blog features with a Forum like navigation.
