This takes too much time to make, especially when I want to maintain a space between each rod in this multi barrelled weapon. It's one of the weapons I hate making when I did made the Tau Battlesuits, which I may also need to make a few more too now for the Riptide. The final result of this is slightly longer than the first, but slowly getting better which each attempt. It's trying to sand the rod ends to make a flat surfaces that its probably the key to getting this right.

Two seems to be the magic number when it comes to making these in bulk. Unlike my Tau Battlesuits when I tried to do them six at a time or even three, with only two on the go, I didn't loose any enthusiasm. Gaming is still however my biggest problem with progress. Despite my initial reservation with using scrap to pad the Jet Packs, it does help eat up all the junk pieces I continually have a habit of keeping.
Living the dream... having so much Lego that I have to sort it out. Not that I'm the one playing with them, but they are my sons. And having to deal with a five year old whining that he can't find the piece he wants, sorting them makes life easier looking for the piece he needs. So I spent all weekend sorting (and still not done) rather than work on my models. Due to lack of boxes, I had to sorted them more than once. Large thick pieces and flat pieces were sorted first before the box of small stuff got sorted again between single and slightly larger pieces.
