After a recent visit to the local Games Workshop, I saw someone painting Tau. It brought back my love for robot style models. I grew up building Mobile Suit Gundam kits from Bandai every time I visited family in Hong Kong. Rather than create another website as I did previously, I decided to widen the scope of this website and integrated the 40K pages in with each army. Tau Battlesuits had so many weapon variants, that I was spoilt for choice. I didn't want multiple versions as that would be too costly. So I used lots of neophyte magnets. So three commanders were created with different weapon configuration using approx 100 magnets. |

Well I went ahead with the big weapons with only one slightly reduced in size (left one). They turned out bigger than my original concept (right one) and overall slightly larger than the metal version at the back. At least they don't look like they have their hands up and held up by gunmen. It's not been as enjoyable as I originally imagined considering I like robot type machines being raised up building Mobile Suit Guundams. Hopefully when I make the bigger brothers it may turn out better.
Unfortunately made a big mistake, or to be more precise too big weapons. Finally decided to try and put these together, but making slow progress. Trying to glue the legs while ensuring the whole thing stands upright was not an easy task. Then when trying to add the weapons, I realised they were way too big. Trying to add the claws was another difficult task as I had no easy joints to glue together. This was not turning out to be much fun.
Five bodies and five weapons. All I need to do is mix and match and then I'll have five additional Killa Kans. The middle body was actually the second last one that was made, but my Ork Mekanik thought it'd be good to paint a face on... basically he got lazy.
