I was determined to keep the painting simple and painted only one motch in the circle around the disc rather than three. Unfortunately I then painted the grill at the rear and every other detail including some random silver lines beneath the disc. I even added a bronze dot at the side of the guns! The Shield Drones were mounted on clear rods and base, which meant I couldn't add the nobs protuding from the bottom disc which I was hoping to do. The three (of five) Gun Drones I previously made was mounted on a painted transparent Hex base. I just hope the flimsy rod hold as I already broke one, hence one drone is lower than the other two. |

I'm suprised how restrained I was painting this as I was so tempted to go overboard with more detail. Although the final result looks a bit femaine, I didn't want to try and alter it any more. Without an Ork holding this, how do I categories this post?
This second one turned out a bit better than the first as I had the feet firm on the ground. Although the feet claws are broken due to too many attempts to position it on the base. At least this doesn't defy gravity. The paint scheme was much plain, especially trying to work with black and as I like my contrasting red wires, I kept it simple. Overall I like this model more than the first, especially the had with its single white tooth.
