Think I'll leave this as it is now. Was tempted to add more text, glyphs and numbering, but it got a bit tiresome and I lacked enthusiasm. Possibly due to the hectic days I'm having at work is draining all my energy. Maybe at a later date I may revisit this and paint a few more stuff on the containers. I would have liked to take more photos and build a new site update, but my rabbit chewed my extension cable used by my mini light studio. |

Didn't expect it to be this hard to make a mess. I had to think of adding more and more stuff to make this place look a mess and more Orkish. I think I'm still lacking something, any suggestions?
Didn't think it would have been this hard filling up one of the containers with a pile of junk. I made the mistake of not just piling it to the top near the front or the middle. Also trying to fill up the workshop with tools and stuff seemed just as hard while trying to make it look Orkish.
A slight re-deign of the layout and also an additional container added. This way I can leave an open container for the Ork workshop if I ever get around to it. With the new guillotine, I was able to add a few vertical rods beneath the model bases to give them a bit more stability. I even tilted the whole base 20 degrees forward to see if any of them slid off. I didn't dare go any further. I did the same for the containers, so I could un-stack them to use as as terrain pieces if I ever wanted to for a battle setup.
Three of the Nine complete, but I doubt I'll be painting the others any time soon. This was a one of the most difficult paint jobs and I haven't even done any highlighting (not that I always do anyway).
Unlike the Orks, I have to do the wash after the base coat rather than last overall, as I want the Tau to be more clean. This makes painting difficult as I need to avoid the recess where the wash has been. Also I've selected the two paint colours from Army Painter that are pasty in texture. Luckily the bottle of black flows perfectly and not oily like the red and yellow I have. It does mean that there's more temptation to do all the detailing I probably would have not done.
More difficult than I had expected trying to mount the weapons and support systems, especially the multi-tracker on the top of the jet-pack. Overall though I like the look of it and hopefully just as good after they have been painted. However I'm still unsure whether to use my old GW paint or my new AP paints. Ideally I'd like to keep with the 40K colour scheme, but I don't think that is feasible as I can't remember what colours I originally used.
