I've been putting off using the Woodland Scenic Kit for the waterfall as I feel like I'll be disappointed with the final result. Also I'd likely make a mess and fell like a wasted effort. As I needed a change from the Tau Battlesuit, I decided to get the plaster out and prepare the area so its water tight. When working at this scale, cutting up the plaster was messier than expected. In the end I used a large brush to dampen the plaster and push it into place and pleasantly surprised how easier it was. After a day of it drying out, I painted over it to find I missed a few gaps at the edges and had to apply some more as shown in the photo and a blog post, another reason to deviate and delay the work. |

Duel weapon Battlesuits. I'm not sure if its lack of enthusiasm or that I'm currently addicted to Sim City Buildit, but I'm reluctantly to make the weapons for the rest. I think I need some deviation and work on something else. :(
Finally decided to get a shorter metal ruler for the smaller jobs rather than use a 30 cm length ruler to measure out a 4mm length of plastic. It's made from a much shinier metal that causes a brighter gleam when you're trying to see the measurement. Hopefully that will dull over time as it gets used. Definitely helpful when working at this scale for the next twenty odd Tau weapons I need to make.
