The bluetac I used is probably older than this blog site, a little squishy but still usable. So the main body seems a bit wider than I expected and possibly need to be cut down so the waist is shorter than the top. I was originally hoping to add additional plate to show this angle, but that is going to bulk it up up further. This would makes things more complicated. The height of the Riptide is still too low, so I can either add in the feet as separate parts (but makes it less stable) or extend the lower leg square strip and add in the feet as I did with the Battlesuits. The shoulder can possibly be a bit longer and I went the extra length of slicing the sides to match the multiple angles of the real model. Although a bit fiddly and unpredictable, it looks like I will be adopting this for future Riptides. Strangely I seem to only make time to do these models when taking a day-off rather than during the weekend. |
