Finally using my top loading airbrush I got a while back and quite impressed. Took me a few attempts to realise the air flowing is controlled by pressing down and pulling back the trigger controlled the amount of paint flow. I was just pulling the trigger and wondering why nothing was happening. My old Games Workshop spray gun will be looking for a new home. Having an air compressor is definitely convenient especially for an amateur like myself. I can play about and learning from mistakes without worrying about the compressed air can going empty. I base coated my desert mountains yellow as a trial for the airbrush. Then decided I need to shade the crevice and cracks. Luckily I had black acrylic paint left from my skull mountain, hence the next phase in the second picture. |
Mixing my black and yellow, I got a murky yellow, but as the foam was still wet, it wasn't covering the black. At least I hope this was the case rather than the paint was too watery. Hence my new brush was carefully washed and put away till the mountain dries.
