I started off with no reference for size and just went with the scrap rod above its head as a starting point. It ended up slightly smaller than my Ork Warlord and I was aiming for a slightly larger version. However I used 100% from my scrap and spent way long than I should have considering I wasn't planning to keep it. A lot of time was finding the correct piece of scrap to ue too! It turned out far better than I expected so may be keeping and even painting it! |

now, however it is in a bottle a millimeter too high to fit on the shelf along with my other paints :(
With the mounting amount of scrap, I thought it may be worth trying to utilise some again. That meant turning my attention back to the Orks. Although I just recently went to a CapCon with the family, I had recently been looking at latest version of Ghazghkull and all the different style he's been painted in. Hence I was thinking of doing various of these and calling it the Ghaz Faz or GhazCon. Rather than dive right in, I thought I'd try a concept one first. Luckily I still have an old Ork character pack for reference.
I managed to do a few short sessions throughout the week to paint the Ion Cannon and then finally today added some detail to the Bunkers to finish it off. I'll soon have enough scenary pieces that I may finally decide to take pictures of my Tau Armoured Core to add to this website. I probably would have had the Power Capsule done too if it wasn't so hot. At least I managed to get time off from my tablet games.
