Only a few more details to go including some Orks on the top and a banner to go with them. There is also the mouth plate too, but not sure how to mount this as it would be nice to make this removable. My options available don't look good, so may need to at least glue part of it to the head. In total I have used twenty magnets. I'm planning to enter this into the 2016 Epic Painting competition in the Open Category. Slightly cheating as it's only part of the model. I've been holding off posting any photos because I want the photos to be first seen in the competition. |

Now all the head sections contain magnets so the whole thing snaps together. Slowly adding detail here and there without any planning. So tempting to slap paint all over in the Ork way, but avoiding that and keeping it neat. I doubt Orks write English, but I thought i'd stick a salvaged "Exit" sign and hang it upside down.
Making slow progress as I'm planning and re-planning, making changes and avoiding mistakes where it makes it impossible for me to paint details into sections of the head. I decided to use my neodymium magnets again as I didn't want to fully glue all four sections of the head together. I also finally used my piece of expanded metal I acquired over twenty years ago for the elevator door. Painting is slow too as the outside is spray painted and luckily not fully even, so it looks weathered without any work. However I do want to learn how to do a better shading/wash method than the usual wash of black water. Any suggestions?
Finally decided to try and have a more fancy title logo. I'm still a bit unsure about the texture I applied on the text. What do people think?
Making more progress without a child on our lap. Originally the platform was stuck behind the face place of the Stompa, however I decided to remove this and create a new one on the head instead. This way I can remove the face plate and see the Ork behind it.
