The hard task ahead as I decided to start re-basing my Goff Clan. A tedious task as well as due to the small size, grasping them between fingers gives you a bit of muscle cramp after just one stand of five figures.

While digging up my old Orks, I came across my old Mega Gargants. The temptation to uplift it luckily was brief and it went straight back in the box. I counted the other Ork Clan stands so I could box them in another building and luckily as I started the next building, I decided to finish off the first. This resulted in a couple of modifications as the base had no side lip to keep the stands from spilling off the side. I had tight measurements too so the Orks only just fit in with one row that doesn't sit quite nicely.
ideas, I had to plan on how big I could make them. Hence the box building with sliding base to store some Ork stands. As I would not be easily displayed like my Tyranids, I decided to store them inside buildings, although probably with no external visibility. How to Orkify the buildings I decided to worry later. However trying to get straight cuts and right angles soon took the enthusiasm away.
It may just be due to the Jets that make it look more like a Gundam, but this is my favourite Tau Battlesuit so far.
My pack of six fine detailed brushes arrived (0000) that I got off ebay for £1.60 a brush, It's a bargain. Already I can do fine detail on my second Tau Commander with less effort and less mistakes than using my older brush. I'm trying to make it last too, washing the brush often and avoid using it as a standard paint brush. I tend to be too lazy to switch to another brush and start using the fine brush to paint larger surfaces.
The twin linked burst cannon on the left are my first version that I wasn't happy with. I made a second one, but although only slightly better, one was shorter than the other. Even with the guillotine, I was still having difficulty making a straight cut so the rods would fit against each other better. I so wanted the thrust jets to move like my larger model.
So these are two of my Tau Commanders modelled based on the larger counterparts. There is additional armour on the side of the legs and shoulders. Unfortunately I ran out of room to add the armour plates around the head. Along the bottom of this picture is the shiny surface of blotches of dried polystyrene glue. Usually a tiny amount of pressure is needed to get the smallest amount of glue out of the the thin needle tip onto the model. A lot of the time however it's slightly blocked, hence I apply heavy pressure and squirt the glue onto the board. Sometimes I use these blotches when I don't trust applying it direct onto the model, but usually I loose where the wet blotch of glue is.
