I really wanted to do a Recon Drone and the Remora Drone, however did not want to tackle the weapons. So I decided on something easy... or so I thought. I ended up trying to do too much detail on the Command-Link Drone and without planning, realised only after assembly that the front sensor wing/flap was too big. Although reluctant to start again, I was |
tempted to make a bigger Tau Drone disc, however lacked the correct size rod without resorting to the Epic round base. Not wanting to spend any more time, I decided to keep it as is. Unlike the shield drones, I drilled a hole into the clear Hex base and pushed the clear rod inside with some super glue. This meant far less visible glue and hopefully one that less likely to break off.

I'm suprised how restrained I was painting this as I was so tempted to go overboard with more detail. Although the final result looks a bit femaine, I didn't want to try and alter it any more. Without an Ork holding this, how do I categories this post?
This second one turned out a bit better than the first as I had the feet firm on the ground. Although the feet claws are broken due to too many attempts to position it on the base. At least this doesn't defy gravity. The paint scheme was much plain, especially trying to work with black and as I like my contrasting red wires, I kept it simple. Overall I like this model more than the first, especially the had with its single white tooth.
