Well that sparked some memories and after a quick look through my stash, I found five painted legions of Ultramarines. A horde of Bad Moon Ork metal wagons/tanks and Gargants. A bunch of Imperial Titans painted as Ultramarine colours! A legion of Imperial unpainted Tanks. Boxes of spures for all the epic armies except Tyranids as I used them all. I even had a box of painted Squats and their war machines! Finally found what I was looking for on display with my other WIP. I guess I didn't get as far as I thought I did with this piece. Well that was all my painting time wasted. |

One of the two Gundams didn't come with any weapons and my son kept pestering me when I would make it some weapons. I eventually succumbed and got around to making a sword and weapon. I used the left over sprue bits for the entire sword as it would be much stronger than the plastic I had. The sprue doesn't bond using the plastic glue I had, so using a T shaped piece, I found a plastic tube that it fitted into and encased it with the plastic I normally used. I guess the only logical next step is to make an entire Gundam from scratch!
I think these were my nine year old son's Christmas presents! I cleaned up the parts (clipped even though you didn't need to) from the sprue while he assembled them. Only a few parts he struggled with getting together. I'd really love to get into this Hobby again as I think I started making these around nine too. Nice memories of going back to Hong Kong and hunting through the back alleys for that Toy Shop selling these the cheapest. With money pulled out from my Lucky Red Envelopes and not realising how much a $500 dollar note was. I was just escstatic that I had several boxes of Gundams to build. Although everything so expensive now. I just need to get my Tau Riptides the right proportion and I can probably start scratching building these!!
It's almost a month and I've still not fully recovered. Seems I have an acid inbalance in my stomach, causing me to vomit. At least I finally got myself to the doctors and get myself some medication. So a month of no activity, both in this hobby and life itself :( Well at least I found myself some PECO scenic landscape replacements. I originally had two, a plain sky and mountain lake. However I left these out and the sun had faded some of the colours. I've been meaning to replace these, but never found them at a decent price. Now I have five of these all for less than £14. If only they did sci-fi themed backgrounds, or a desert background for my Orks. I just need to get well enough to use them.
Not much difference, but it feels better. I removed everything from my table top and gave it a clean, wiping away years of dust and little bits of plastic. The first Citadel Metalic Paint, potentially purchased when they were first released, went into storage as I've not used them. Two bottles of solidfied paint thrown in the bin and I didn't even attempt to salvage the droplet bottles. I don't have anything planned for the New Year other than breaking out a new paint brush, but it feels good to have a clean area to paint and make stuff.
This wasn't on the plan for this year, but at least it's now completed. Another section of slate removed, roots cut up, new lining put down and sifting the dirt out of the slate before relaying it. I ended up clearing up the slate near the plants, but didn't have new lining to lay down. This will suffice for another 10 years. There is only one small corner to do where a lot of roots have grown through, but pretty sure that will be a job for next year... unless we get another heat wave.
section also got the pile of thin pieces. The remaining tray (bottom right) although tempting to keep, went into the bin. I just regret I didbn't start counting the pieces as I twezzered each piece at a time into its new location.
a main account, but also two others (I don't know why myself). Path to Nowehere was not the type of game I enjoyed, but the story was quite intriguing. However I hit a wall and been just doing dailies for a long time in hope that I could just power through the next level, but unfortunately this game doesn't allow you to do that in a sense. Hence finally decided to delete it. So once I get well enough, I either have more time to do my models... or install new games!
addicted to two games. This is not a good thing considering I'm occasionally tapping away at my phone on these two games during work hours in the office!
