Scribe
Many websites had used a spiral notebook design, however there were flaws in the design that I took the challenge to overcome. Rather than a spiral image all the way down the side of a page, I wanted to see the top and bottom . In effect a page on the screen with the top and bottom edge. I went a step further and even had a page tab at the top right. The tabs would link you to the cover, index page, gallery, poetry and stories.
I used a programming language called Perl to implement the web page. It would also be dynamic enough to add a page. All I had to do was upload a text file and images, and my code would automatically link the page in the index page. It would also add it in with a Previous and Next link. Almost like turning the page of a book. Unfortunately this was not something I could re-produce on this website.

Observant readers will likely spotted a Warhammer Gallery image a few pages back. This didn't take off as I was hoping to compile a gallery for all the different epic images I came across. More aware of copyright laws and taking people's images without permission proved this task to be more than it was worth. Eventually I abandon this and similar web sites appeared such as Photobucket and Rate My Model with much more powerful applications behind it.
So my journey ends here with Scribe being the last web site I designed. After moving through several web hosting, my passion for Warhammer 40K Epic still continues and likely for a long time. Hopefully Weebly will last just as long as I rather not change to yet another web host.
